The Foundry Workshop, Ltd and Lyndon Institute are proud to announce the Grand Opening of The Foundry, a fully-equipped, publically-accessible Maker Space in the heart of Lyndonville, VT, on Saturday, June 6th, 9am-11am at LI’s True Building. This event is open to all, and will include the official ribbon cutting, a full tour of the facility, project demos from the members, and of course, refreshments.
A Makerspace is a shared workspace, sometimes described as a community center with tools- tools that may be beyond the financial reach of an individual, or may be used too infrequently to justify owning. Members of The Foundry will have access to a wide variety of equipment, including, Woodworking, Metalworking/Machining, CAD/CAM software, 3D printing, laser engraving, and the chance to engage and exchange ideas with interesting and skilled folks from around the area.
Initially, the space will be open Monday and Wednesday evenings, from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM, and Saturday mornings, from 9 AM to 1 PM. For a limited time, membership is being offered at a discounted rate of $35 a month.
The Foundry is located in Lyndon Institute’s True building, at 61 King Drive, Lyndonville, VT, behind the Lyndon Center Post Office.
