The Foundry will be at The St. Johnsbury Maple Festival!
Member Paul and the Foundry team re-create an antique part so the Cabot Town clock keeps on ticking.
Member Dan re-created an awesome baseball pinball game project he had started with his Dad when he was a kid, but never completed. Here he is with the completed project, a picture of his dad, and the vintage Popular Mechanics magazine that the design originally came from.
Members taking part in the one day boat building workshop. Later in the day it was taken for a ride in the river. It stayed afloat (sort of).
Here’s a picture of the 12.5 foot New Year’s Eve Ball built by The Foundry that is an annual part of the St. Johnsbury First Night celebration. It is rumoured to be 6 inches larger than the one in Times Square.
Spectacular stained glass piece by a member inspired by the work of artist Georgia O’keefe.
This project was to build about 12 weather resistant little free library buildings for a group in Northern Vermont. We used the laser cutter to produce the panels and the sheet metal equipment to create a tight metal roof.
A couple members made this sign using our Vinyl Cutter for the lettering, some LED’s, white plastic and wood.
Another project from Dan, this time a re-creation of the original Bisbee’s sign from his family’s farm, now a farm museum in Massachusetts.
The Foundry was asked to help a local museum provide lighting in their display cabinets. Small discrete LED lights were used successfully.
A member used one of our lathes to create a new porch column to replace an old rotted one.
We admit it. We like to make things. Sometimes we make big things. Sometimes we make even bigger things. But this member went in the other direction when they decided to make watch parts. Really small watch parts.
Gorgeous waterfall in stained glass by a member.
